Phil Collins' ex Orianne insists she 'still loves him' amid bitter legal battle

Phil Collins’s ex wife insists that she will always love the rock icon and “remain in his life” despite their current bitter court war over their second separation.

In her first major TV interview since their acrimonious break-up last spring, Orianne Collins insists the dramas have gotten “out of hand”, leaving her “very sad” and wishing that their differences would have been settled in private.

Collins, 47, spoke on video about balancing her public image with her professional concerns at the Collection unveiling at Berger & Sons Fine Jewelers at the Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas.

Orianne said: “I mean, it was very hard for me, because I had been 26 years with one person.

“You have the ups and the downs. We got separated and got divorced one time and then we got back together, and things didn’t work out. And it’s sad. It’s very sad. But he’s still the father of my children, I still love him and he will always remain in my life.

“And the fact that everything went out of hand is totally sad, because it should have been kept in the family.

“But there’s some bad people around and they want it to be the smashing hit and everything.

“So I’m dealing with things that are not necessary and it hurts everybody more than it makes everybody happy.”

In recent months 69-year-old Phil and Orianne, who share two sons, Nicholas and Matthew, have taken swipes at one another in Miami courts as her legal team push for half the value of his home.

Orianne, who Phil reportedly paid $46.68 million in their 2008 divorce settlement, admitted she is emotionally settled with new musician Thomas Bates.

Phil and Orianne’s marriage spanned from 1999 to 2008 before they reunited in 2016.

However, in 2020 Orianne had told Phil she had “found” another man last July and secretly wed her lover, with the pair jetting off to Las Vegas where they were married by an Elvis impersonator.

Jewellery designer Orianne had reportedly moved her new husband, Thomas Bates, into the lavish £29 million Miami Beach mansion she used to share with Phil.

But Collins has since ordered Orianne out of the plush mansion after deciding to put the house on the market, which he has reportedly not set foot in since September 2020 after finding out about Orianne’s secret affair.
