Stacey Solomon has shared how overwhelmed with emotions – “due to pregnancy hormones” – she is after her little boy Rex was returned from the hospital.
The two-year-old had to have minor surgery and stitches on his mouth after a “horror fall” over the weekend then was made to stay overnight just in case.
But on Wednesday the tot – who Stacey shares with fiance Joe Swash, 39 – came home to be reunited with his family.
The Loose Women presenter, 31, also recently announced she is expecting so was unable to handle the emotion of seeing her little boy reunited with his big brothers, Leighton, nine and Zachary, 13.
In a cute snap of the trio sat on a swinging chair, Stacey wrote: “Back with his best friends.
“I know I’m extremely overtired right now but my hormones can’t take these three right now.”
She added: “That’s the biggest smile I’ve seen on his face all day you just wouldn’t think any of today happened we love you pickle bum.”
Stacey also shared a picture of her holding a sleeping Rex, where she praised the NHS.
The X Factor finalist said: “Thank you for your lovely kind messages and thank you to everyone here at @bhrut_nhs from giving birth here to fixing the pickles, your staff and everyone who works so hard in trust has always been amazing.
“So grateful to our NHS always and forever…you’re so incredible and we are lucky to have you.”
But before Rex had gone into theatre the usually happy expectant mother was understandably worried.
“Thinking of all the mummies, daddies and carers and extremely brave pickles who have to do this all of the time.”
“It’s not nice at all,” she said.
Keeping herself busy while Rex was in the theatre room, Stacey decided to do a spot of decorating and added faux plants to her son’s hospital room.
Sharing the images with her fans on Instagram the star said: “Honestly, I can’t tell you what a fake plant and a blanket do to a room.
“It makes me feel so much less worried when I bring home things with me to these places.
“Thank you all for being so lovely.”
