NHS doctor Emily Andre has praised Stacey Soloman after she opened up about her breastfeeding challenges and admits she should have asked for help sooner.
Stacey has revealed she sought help with feeding her new born daughter Rose after she struggled with son Rex.
The Loose Women panellist welcomed baby Rose with fiancé Joe Swash on her 32nd birthday.
Emily is married to singer Peter Andre and the couple share son Theo, 7, and daughter Amelia, 4.
She wrote in her OK! magazine column how “there’s no shame in admitting you need help.”
She recently praised Stacey Solomon, she penned: “Stacey is doing the right thing by not putting too much pressure on herself, because the more stressed you are the harder it will be.”
Emily reflected on her breastfeeding experience and wished she had “reach out” sooner and would have loved to have met other mums in the same position she was in.
She continued: “It’s about staying positive and if you do end up not managing to carry on then that’s absolutely fine – you shouldn’t feel disappointed in yourself in any way.
“It’s a choice at the end of the day and not everyone finds breastfeeding easy.”
In 2019, Stacey welcomed son Rex and shared with fans how she felt a “failure” when she wasn’t able to breastfeed.
At the time, she said: “Breastfeeding never happened for me the way that I imagined. I did my best to try and master it, but it wasn’t to be.”
After welcoming baby Rose she has told followers she is seeing a local breastfeeding specialist.
She said: “I’m struggling again with feeding this time around so spending all of my energy trying to feed, eat and rest.
“Also seeing local breastfeeding specialists and the community midwives who have been incredible so hoping for a more positive journey, in the end, this time but not putting pressure on myself.”
