Strictly Come Dancing fans were left unimpressed on Saturday evening when the results were leaked on social media for yet another week.
It might come as a surprise to some that Sunday night’s dance off programme is filmed on the Saturday. With recent weeks seeing the celebrity’s name, who has been booted off, circulating social media soon after.
Within 30 minutes of Saturday night’s show concluding, the names of the two couples who were in the dance off were being shared using the hashtag #strictlyspoiler.
Daily Star has chosen not to publish the results of the week eight dance off, but you can get up to speed with last night’s show below.
Viewers were upset and angry when they saw the tweets of who went home, with many taking to social media to air their disappointment.
One said: “The #strictlyspoiler is RIDICULOUS tonight if true.”
Another said: “That #StrictlySpoiler better be wrong, I mean who on earth is voting for Dan he is like the worst dancer left and at this point should be going.”
Some else said: “I really don’t like the #StrictlySpoiler tonight”
Another person tweeted: “the judges play the biggest role, overmarking some, undermarking others which causes people to maybe vote differently, the leaderboard was wrong to start with so it affects everything.”
Someone else agreed: “The marking tonight was the worst it’s ever been. It’s been bad for weeks.”
Another said: “Omg that’s a shock!!”
Week eight of the popular BBC One dancing competition saw Rhys Stephenson top the leaderboard after he and his partner Nancy Xu were awarded a total of 40 for their Charleston.
EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis with her partner Giovanni Pernice, who scored 39 for their Couple’s Choice routine – which was a fan favourite among many social media users.
One said of the dance: “It’s not often I think about #Strictly for a second beyond the closing credits, but the moment last night when the music stopped and Rose and Giovanni danced on in silence is still giving me goosebumps.”
Another directly tweeted Giovanni and said: “Thanks to you and Rose for the special moment last night on Strictly. During the silence, it made me realise how we take many things for granted in our lives. She’ s doing well with the dancing to say she can’t hear the music. Thank you to both of you!!”
The rest of the leader board was as follows: John Whaite and Johannes Radebe scored 38, while Sara Davies and Aljaž Škorjanec received 32.
Tom Fletcher and Amy Dowden scored 30, while Tilly Ramsay and Dan Walked both got 29.
AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard with the lowest overall score of the night – 28.
Strictly Come Dancing: The Results airs on Sunday at 7:20pm on BBC One.
