Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies has laid herself bare in a social media video ahead of the Strictly Come Dancing 2021 launch next week.
Taking to Instagram to post a snap on her Instagram stories on Saturday, the makeup-free businesswomen posed for the short clip while laying underneath a big duvet, with just her head popping out.
She wrote a caption over the photo that read: “Been up since 5:30…. (and not cos I was out running or generally exercising at some crazy time…. just couldn’t sleep with excitement!)”
The clip came as Sara and the rest of the cast pre-recorded the launch show, as the contestant, judges and entire crew begin gearing up for the series, which will air it’s first episode next Saturday on September 18.
Sara’s excitement on Saturday morning was down to the pre-recording of the launch show, something she gave her fans an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at.
Touring the hallway strewn with star-studded dressing rooms, Sara wrote: “That’s it….. First official day on the ‘new job’…..! We’re recording the launch show today….. #excitedmuchly”
The next slide showed an abundance of heeled shoes, all lined up, while in the next slide Sara talked her followers through her new hair extensions that she’ll be sporting on the show.
In hair and makeup, getting glammed up and dressed to the nines, Sara was joined by Bill Bailey who was ‘giving her some tips’.
She then didn’t post any more behind-the-scenes snaps, because all will be revealed next weekend.
Last month it was confirmed on Good Morning Britain that the businesswoman, who is best known for her role on Dragon’s Den, will be sashaying her way into the ballroom as she competes in the upcoming series of the popular dancing competition.

She told show-runners before the announcement: “My mam and dad are going to be so excited. I’m really nervous because so far the producers keep asking me if I can dance. Truth be told – I haven’t got a clue!”
Sara added: “The business world has taught me that tenacity, drive and determination deliver results, I hope that I can bring that to the dancefloor.”
Strictly Come Dancing starts on Saturday, September 18 on BBC One
