The Chase's Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan hits back after being insulted by Jeff Banks

Chaser Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan wasn’t taking any flack from The Chase Celebrity Special contestant Jeff Banks on Saturday.

The iconic fashion designer had taken to the podium to compete for a cash prize to donate to charity, and was customarily asked by host Bradley Walsh which chaser he fancied facing down.

Jeff replied: “I fancy The Vixen!”

But the red-faced star quickly corrected himself, insisting that he hadn’t meant it like it sounded: “Well, I don’t fancy The Vixen!”, leaving Brad and the audience in fits of laughter.

Bradley soon announced that Jeff would be staring down Jenny, but as she took to her own seat, she clearly wasn’t impressed with his comments, telling him: “Hello, Jazzy Jeff who doesn’t fancy me!”

Jenny also wasn’t happy with Bradley having a chuckle at her expense, as she quipped: “How lovely to see a man who makes beautiful clothes standing next to a man who can barely dress himself!”

Elsewhere in the show, things erupted into chaos as comedian Brian Conley acted out a hilarious impression of ‘lookalike’ host Bradley – by wrapping his face in sticky tape.

He leapt out of his chair to go and stand beside Bradley with his face obscured by the Sellotape, leaving the audience in hysterics.

Later, Brian chuckled: “It’s all yours Brad, take it away!”

His enthusiasm was contagious, as Bradley asked the camera whether the contestants would be able to outwit the chaser.

“Yes we can!” Brian cheered loudly.

Viewers couldn’t help but comment on the lookalike companions, as one penned: “I can’t cope with Bradley Walsh and Brian Conley on the same show, I always get them mixed up they are so similar!”

Fans, however, weren’t happy with how many times this particular episode had been shown, with ITV airing repeats of the iconic quiz show.

Taking to Twitter, a horde of disgruntled fans posted their disappointment at not having a new instalment to enjoy, with one writing: “FFS how many times has this episode been on?” accompanied by two cry-laughing emojis.

“It’s the Brian Conley one again!” another echoed with a laughing emoticon.

“ITV just repeat and repeat and repeat!” someone else chimed in.

Jeff made it through to the Final Chase despite his cheeky remark to Jenny, with TV presenter Michelle Ackerley joining him after only scooping £500 during her head-to-head with Jenny.

The star plumped for the lower offer after struggling through the Cashbuilder round – but celebrated that she could potentially help her team to victory.

The Chase airs from 5pm weekdays on ITV.
