This Morning presenter Alison Hammond struggled to hold back the tears as she spoke to Alyssa who was diagnosed with leukaemia a year and a half ago.
The 47-year-old was joined by co-host Dermot O’Leary to chat to the youngster, who was joined by her mum and their relative, Gok Wan.
Alyssa’s mum explained that her daughter underwent chemotherapy and radiotherapy as well as a bone marrow transplant, but nothing was successful in curing her cancer.

The 14-year-old was told the only option was palliative care which makes you as comfortable as possible if you have an illness that cannot be cured.
However, Gok revealed it was a “miracle” as she was told she was leukaemia free after undergoing a different kind of complex transplant.
She explained: “It was just a little syringe that had millions and millions of cells in that was going to fight her leukaemia.
She continued: “They said at 28 days, ‘We think we’ve managed to get it all and she can now go for her bone marrow transplant, the second one.”
Gok went on to say: “It’s a miracle. You cannot get your head around the success of this. It’s so incredible.”
Alyssa revealed her family have raised huge amounts of money as her auntie shaved her head and raised £20,000 while her granddad wrote a book where all the proceeds are going to Ward 27 at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
Towards the end of the emotional chat, Alison told Alyssa they wanted to give her a gift but admitted: “I don’t know if I can do it,” as she wiped away her tears.
As she continued reading, the Big Brother star said: “I can’t do it, oh my god,” before Dermot took over and told Alyssa she would be going on a VIP Harry Potter experience.
And the presenters weren’t the only one’s getting emotional as fans took to social media to share what they thought of the tear-jerking interview.
“Omg @thismorning has me in tears. great to see some good news she’s a wee star,” penned one viewer.
Another added: “I’m in absolute floods of tears here. Alyssa Is the most wonderful girl. Long may she continue in good health,” as a third echoed: “Look at me look at me I’m crying I’m crying , ehh?? #ThisMorning.”
