Coronation Street star Kate Ford looked nothing like her character Tracy Barlow as she shared a throwback snap with her gaggle of keen followers.
The actress posted a set of sepia photographs to her Instagram page, which had originally been shared by a pal, in which she could be seen with her iconic brunette hair cropped into a style that barely grazed her neck.
Kate looked stunning as ever in a spaghetti-strap white dress embellished with a black floral design, staring moodily into the camera in a very 90s style.
The star was accompanied by Bart Ruspoli, who Kate explained was her ex-boyfriend and now the husband of his current wife Vanessa, as he posed in an open-collared shirt.
Though the cycle proved a little confusing, Kate was on hand to explain in the caption.

She wrote: “I love this!! When your ex’s wife posts a celebratory photo of you and her husband (I love them both) from 1997 you realise how life can (sometimes) come full circle in gorgeous ways you at one point couldn’t imagine!”
Kate went on to tag both Vanessa and Bart in the post, as Vanessa gushed: “Look at these two hotties!”
Fans immediately poured into the comments section to compliment the star, with one writing: “Love this!”
“Wow, this is a great example of women supporting women!” another praised, as a third fan commented: “I LOVE this. Sisters united doing it for themselves!”
“What a gorgeous photo,” someone else echoed.
A fifth said: “Didn’t recognise you at all then!”

And Kate is no stranger to posting throwback photos, as last summer she posted a photograph of her as a child in the 80s, posing with a pal as the pair glammed up in true late twentieth century style – crimped hair and all.
Kate could be seen rocking a paisley-print purple dress with an orange and green pattern, with what looked to be a long hairpiece round her neck and her brunette curls tufted into a perm.
The actress wrote alongside the snap: “I can still remember how fabulous I thought I looked in these hair pieces we bought at #AfflecksPalace!”
Afflecks, located in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, hails itself as an “emporium of eclecticism” and a “totem of indie commerce” in the heart of the city.
