Dancing On Ice fans have been left fuming after learning that the show’s final could be delayed due to football.
Viewers had been expecting to see this year’s winner of the ITV ice-skating contestant crowned on March 20.
However, the FA Cup quarter final match between Nottingham Forest and Liverpool is taking place at the same time and will be shown on ITV, so the Dancing On Ice final has been bumped.
According to reports, it will now air a week later on March 27.
Many fans were less than impressed about the schedule shake-up.
“This sucks big time,” tweeted one person.
“Can’t believe we have to wait 2 weeks for Dancing On Ice final after this week,” said another.
Some suggested football should air elsewhere.
“You would think by now there would be designated sports channels,” said one person.
“I wish ITV would stop changing their schedule every two minutes,” fumed another.
“Just put the sport on all the bloody sport channels and leave #DancingOnIce alone.”
Another fan of the show said it was going to be a very “boring” weekend without the latest from the rink.
“Dancing On Ice Grand Final delayed so FA Cup Quarter Final can be aired… this is the end of civilisation as we know it!” joked another.
Last weekend’s programme saw Paralympian athlete Stef Reid eliminated after a tense skate-off against BMX racer Kye Whyte.
There are now just five stars left in the competition – Whyte, Pussycat Dolls beauty Kimberly Wyatt, former Strictly dancer Brendan Cole, The Vamps’ Connor Ball and dancer Regan Gascoigne.
Hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby announced last week that Sunday’s instalment will see a double elimination, with two skaters handed their marching orders ahead of the big finale.
The remaining three will then go up against each other in the Dancing On Ice final – and fans are waiting with bated breath to see who will be crowned the winner of this series.
And Dancing On Ice isn’t the only show affected, as Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway has also reportedly been reshuffled due to the Six Nations rugby.
