Denise Welch has shut down all rumours of a Loose Women feud – saying she’s never argued with any of her co-stars off camera in twenty years.
The ITV star spoke exclusively to Daily Star’s Sam Huntley at the 2022 TRIC Awards at Grosvenor House in London, where Loose Women was nominated for Best Daytime.
64-year-old Denise said she can fiercely debate the top stories of the day with her co-stars like Carol McGiffin, but they never take their fights off camera.

The presenter slammed headlines of fiery clashes between the panel, admitting her and Kaye Adams predict them during ad-breaks.
She said: “I have never once had an argument with any single girl off stage in that show in twenty years. Never once. Me and Carol McGiffin can go and it hammer and tongs.
“Me and Kaye Adams, every single time we say something, in the break we look at eachother and go ‘oh that’ll be the headline. Fiery clash on Loose Women.’ All the time. In a way that’s part of the show.”
She admitted it annoys her as she feels the “fiery clash” headlines wouldn’t be there if it were a group of men disagreeing on a panel show.
Welch went on: “It does annoy me because if it was men it wouldn’t be a fiery clash every time they had a disagreement. With women they always want to cause a fiery clash.”
Denise insisted everyone on Loose Women are “great friends” and that it’s their differing views which makes the daytime show so special.
She added: “The show is like it is because we do have different views, but the favt is we are all great friends and that is the genuine truth. It’s not just bullsh**.”
It comes after Denise’s pals Jane Moore slammed feud rumours in a recent interview with the Mirror.
Jane backed up Denise’s claims about ad-breaks and that men wouldn’t get the same sort of clash headlines.
The broadcaster said: “In the ad-breaks, we’ll say, ‘That was a bit fiery, wasn’t it?'”

She added: “I have an issue when people say, ‘Jane Moore and Nadia Sawalha cat fight on Loose Women’. Please, come on, we’re past that. They never do it about two blokes on a news programme and it’s so lame.
“Let’s move on, we’re not in the 1950s anymore. But we take it in our stride and get on with it.”
Denise has appeared as a regular panelist on Loose Women between 2005
