Danny Walters had to lie to pals to keep his EastEnders comeback a secret.
The hunk made a dramatic return as badboy Keanu Taylor in Tuesday’s (December 13) episode in a big surprise for fans.
Danny said: “I wanted to make it a surprise. But it’s been very hard to keep it a secret. I only told a handful of people.

“It was tough because I kept making a lot of excuses. Family members were asking where I was going and I was saying, ‘I’m just paying golf’. They think I’ve been playing golf every day!”
Danny is set to be at the centre of the action in the coming months.
Bosses have a string of big plots lined up with him.
We’ll see Keanu clash with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and get close to ex Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) again.
He said: “I got the call and I was told about some of the storylines and the vision was incredible.
“I couldn’t help but want to come back. Keanu is a new type of character. You’ll see a very different side of him.”
Danny’s comeback as Keanu comes just 24 hours after Adam Woodyatt returned to Albert Square as Ian Beale.
The show legend, 54, agreed to reprise his role to be part of the funeral of Dot Branning, who was played by the late June Brown.
His comeback was filmed in secret to give viewers a big surprise, like Keanu.
It saw Ian watch the funeral from afar.
Adam was close pals with June during their time working together on the BBC soap.
Show boss Chris Clenshaw said: “I called Adam and told him our plans and said, ‘Ian has to be there’. And he agreed. He wanted to be there for June.

Ian was seen speaking on the phone to an unnamed person.
