EastEnders fans couldn’t control their emotions as Keanu Taylor made an epic return to the BBC soap.
The character was spotted at the end of Tuesday’s episode (December 13) as he watched mum Karen Taylor from afar.
Fans immediately went into meltdown as they saw Keanu back on their screen as one penned: “Oh my god!!! Keanu! That was a big shock but very welcome. Can’t wait for the next episode. What a week!”

“Keanu best be returning for good….oh I’ve missed him,” gushed a second.
Another exclaimed: “KEANU IS BACK OMG #EastEnders.”
While a fourth echoed: “KEANU IS BACK THIS IS NOT A DRILL.”

Keanu, played by Danny Walters, bid farewell to Albert Square in February 2020 following a tumultuous few years as a Walford resident.
His most explosive storyline was embarking on an affair with Sharon Watts who he fell in love with and later got pregnant.
Things got more complicated as his relationship with Louise Mitchell – whom he also fathered a child with – overlapped with the steamy affair.
After Louise discovered Keanu was the father of Sharon’s baby, she teamed up with Phil and Ben who planned to have him kidnapped and murdered by Martin Fowler.

However, Linda Carter became embroiled in the story and she and Martin managed to help Keanu escape Walford and fake his own death instead.
In February 2020, Keanu returned to Walford with the hope that Sharon would leave with him and they could become a proper family.
As Sharon gave birth to their son with Kathy by her side, she had no idea of the horror that was unleashing on the Thames.

Many residents found themselves on board a boat, however, Phil and Keanu’s deadly showdown led to the captain losing control which caused it to crash.
The boat crash claimed the life of Sharon’s son, Dennis, who drowned after being locked in a room by Ian Beale.
Keanu was forced to break the devastating news to Sharon, who blamed their affair for leading to Dennis’ death and demanded he leave.
