Gogglebox fans were left fuming after the show aired scenes of full-frontal nudity as they branded the segment “inappropriate.”
Viewers of Friday’s (March 11) show couldn’t believe their eyes when scenes from dating show Naked Attraction were played out that featured a group of men exposing their penises and sticking diamante jewels to their midriff before performing a genital spinning dance.
Shocked fans then took to Twitter to complain about the images as they rushed to critique the decision to air such explicit footage.
There was outrage amongst viewers of the hit Channel 4 show who felt it was time to ‘stop’ showing contestants from Naked Attraction on Gogglebox.
One disgruntled viewer wrote: “Petition to stop #Gogglebox showing Naked Attraction please.”
Another added: “I’m sorry but I feel violated by that clip of Naked Attraction?? I think I need the Samaritans.”
A third posted: “I lead a very sheltered life but #Gogglebox always manages to blow my mind and send me blind. I can never unsee dancing k***s and don’t get me on that one that talked the other day! The CGI one.”
Another quipped: “Ohh no, we can’t be watching that.”
A fifth stunned social media user tweeted: “Why am I watching dancing penises on #Gogglebox #NakedAttraction needs to be stopped.”
Another fan of the show added: “#Gogglebox watching a load of f*****g willies jumping up, down and all around whilst your parents sit at the other end of the sofa is NOT ok.”
More violated viewers joined the debate as one wrote: “Ewwwww this is disgusting #Gogglebox I don’t want to see naked men shaking their bits everywhere! I’m a lesbian… just ewwww no thanks.”
Another agreed: “This is so inappropriate hate this show with a passion!”
A third continued: “Why would anyone find that intriguing, flaccid dancing with belly gems. I give up.”
One more finished: “Well… now I have to bleach my eyeballs.”
However, the cast, for the most part, seemed to find the scenes hilarious – with plenty of on-screen stars collapsing into giggles at the racy scenes.
Gogglebox continues Friday at 9 pm on Channel 4.
