Holly Willoughby denies Phillip Schofield feud claim as she brands star 'friend'

Holly Willoughby has denied rumours of a feud between herself and co-star Phillip Schofield as she brands him a “friend”.

The presenter admitted she wouldn’t be able to stand hosting This Morning with someone she had tension with.

The 40-year-old reportedly had tension in 2019 with her long time presenting partner.

Holly told Grazia : “It is two and a half hours of live telly. If you were to do that amount of live telly with someone who drove you nuts, wound you up, annoyed you in any way, well, I think you can only do that with a friend, day in, day out.”

The alleged row in 2019 between Holly and Phillip was reportedly over their salary for hosting the ITV daytime show.

However, the pair have denied the claims more than once.

Phillip was left shocked by the rumours and opened up in 2020 about them.

He told The Mail on Sunday: “Can you imagine a feud between us ever happening? We are so open on the show, we are so open online and we go on holiday together.

“Holly is the sister I never had, we think at the same speed. It’s so organic… it’s a shame.”

Holly is currently being temporarily replaced on This Morning for two weeks by Rochelle Humes as she works on a new series with Lee Mack.

The TV star is married to Dan Baldwin with whom she shares three children, sons Chester, seven, Harry James, 12 and daughter Belle, 10.

The blonde beauty recently gave an insight into her family life as she gushed over her “amazing” daughter.

She revealed: “Empathy is a lovely thing. My daughter has it. She’s amazing, you can stick her in any situation.”

Holly has also admitted recently that she “isn’t afraid” of the reaction to her wellness brand Wylde Moon.

Regarding the brand, which launched in October last year, Holly said: “I’m not afraid of the reaction to it any more. If it doesn’t fit with what your thoughts and expectations of me are, well then there’s nothing I can do about it.

“I can’t change that. I don’t want to change that. And I’m not going to change that. This is me.”

Currently, Holly is off filming Wim ‘Iceman’ Hof’s Superstar Survival with Lee Mack in Europe.

The star won’t be back on the This Morning sofa until next month.
