ITV denies claims Saira Khan was asked to launch OnlyFans before Loose Women exit

ITV bosses have “refuted” the claims that Saira Khan quit Loose Women after being “asked to join OnlyFans”.

Claiming that she was asked if she was “prepared to open an account” on the X-rated website, ITV has now “strongly” refuted the claims.

An ITV spokesperson has said: “We strongly refute all of these claims. Duty of care is of paramount importance for all of our panellists. Saira left the Loose Women panel almost two years ago and we wish her well.”

She told the paper: “The straw that broke the camel’s back was when one of the young producers was sent running after me to ask whether I would be prepared to open an OnlyFans account.

“To say I was shocked was an understatement,” she continued.

Saira added: “I could see she herself was mortified to ask me. I replied, ‘You’re asking an Asian woman who has a husband and kids and comes from a Muslim family to open an OnlyFans account?’

The former Loose Women panellist went on to reveal how the producer said: “It’s just on your social media you’ve been posting images in your underwear and we thought if you could go undercover to see the kind of response you get from men, it would make a great story.”

Speaking to the paper Saira then revealed that it was at this point that she knew her “time was up” on Loose Women, adding that she felt “humiliated, angry, disappointed and like fodder”.

She also revealed how she was asked to make a mould of her vagina for the Body Stories campaign.

And claimed that the show cared more about viewing figures than mental health.

This all came out in the Mirror article where Saira claims all of the above was behind her real reasoning for leaving the show.

Soon after her departure in 2020, claims swirled that there was a rift, which escalated when Saira took to Twitter.

Taking to social media she said: “Right then – let’s put this baby to bed! Is there anyone out there who totally loves and gets on with all their colleagues in their organisation?”
