Kate Beckinsale fears she'll be 'absolutely f***ed' as she returns to West End

Kate Beckinsale is set to return to London’s West End.

The Daily Star Sunday can reveal the Hollywood actress has signed up to star in a show in 2023.

She told us: “I’m doing a play in London next year. Doing a play is hard work and that’s the aspect one is concerned about.

“I will be nervous. And I don’t drink or do drugs, so I’ll be absolutely f***ed! It’ll just be raw terror.

“But it will be really nice. It’s important when you do movies a lot to do things that have an actual audience because it’s such a magical relationship, especially if it’s a comedy.”

Kate has put off her return to the West End for a while to focus on being a mum.

She added: “For years I liked to put my daughter to bed at night. But she doesn’t want me to do that now because she’s 23. So I can do a play.”

Kate previously revealed to Daily Star that despite living in America, she was hooked on Love Island which came to a dramatic end last week.

She said: “I have been watching Love Island and I’m enjoying it.

“I think it’s like watching true crime… you can’t stop. It’s like a car crash. I love it.

“Because I live in America, I get excited about slightly naff English things like Love Island and Pot Noodles and things.”

But while she was a huge fan of the ITV2 dating programme, she admitted she couldn’t picture herself taking part.

Speaking at the National Film Awards, she said: “I am glad I’m not in it. I think it looks like hell. It looks like my worst nightmare.
