Katie Price has asked why she hasn’t been offered an MBE as she’s claimed “others have done less” to get them.
The mum-of-five has been tirelessly campaigning for stricter laws on trolling after her eldest son Harvey was targeted with abuse by cruel trolls.
It comes after the ex-glamour model starred in a moving BBC documentary about her disabled son Harvey called Harvey and Me, which was nominated for a National Television Award.
Speaking to The Guardian, Katie said: “I’m in the Houses of Parliament campaigning for better laws and opening up people’s eyes to life for people with disabilities. Honestly, I see others getting MBEs who’ve done less than me, and I think: why not me?”
She later explained famous figures who have children with complex needs are “starting to be more open” about their situations.
The proud mum also insisted she’s always been “so proud” of Harvey and is not ’embarrassed’ by him.
The star went on: “It wasn’t like that before. People didn’t like to admit it, as if they were ashamed. But I’ve always been so proud of Harvey. He’s not an embarrassment. He has plenty of qualities other people don’t. It’s as simple as that.”
The former I’m A Celebrity star also opened up about home life as she admitted not having Harvey at home with her has been tough to deal with.
Harvey, who lives with partial blindness, autism and Prader-Willi syndrome, attends the National Star college in Cheltenham.
Harvey now lives at the full-time college, which reportedly costs £350k per year.
Katie said: “It’s a relief to not have the house totally destroyed every day, but it’s hard adjusting,” she said. “I expect to hear his shouts and banging; to have our cuddles and kisses. It’s left a void in my life. I miss him, but you adapt.”
Katie, who recently returned from her trip to Thailand with her fiance Carl Woods, previously spoke about how Harvey enjoys being in front of the camera.
Comparing herself to her eldest, the star said: “Harvey loves being on YouTube, Harvey loves filming himself.

“He’s like me – what you see is what you get. If he doesn’t want to be filmed one day, he’ll say ‘no, not today’, but then ten minutes later, he’ll want to be on film so that’s what it’s like. I’d never force him to do anything.
“He loves it, I showed him the programme back, and he sat there just listening and watching it for an hour. Now trust me, Harvey wouldn’t sit there and watch something for an hour – he was focused, and he just loved it after!”
She added: “I would love there to be another show all about Harvey and I think it’s important because there are so many parents that are afraid to go out, because they’re embarrassed, they think people will stare at them. I’m like get lost, embrace it – he’s a credit it to me, he’s amazing in every way; challenging and hard work yes, but also rewarding.”
