Fans have expressed their concerns for I Kissed a Girl singer Katy Perry after a video from a performance that showed the 38-year-old pressing her temple repeatedly and seemingly struggling to keep her eye open.
Different theories about what had happened with her eye occurred, including that the glue used to keep her eyelashes on was too strong.
One fan wrote that lash glue had gotten into their eyes before and caused something similar.

“I’m convinced that Katy Perry eye video is just my girl struggling with her lashes… maybe she used some new glue, and it was extra strength,” they said.
“When that lash [glue] isn’t fully dry and closes ur eyes,” echoed another.
After re-watching the video, however, some have said that Katy is a “clone” or a “robot”.
“That’s not no lash glue doing that, that a clone fan and I’m deada** not playing. That’s not the real Katy Perry lmfao.”
Someone else agreed: “Katy Perry is definitely a robot, and she was definitely malfunctioning on that stage….”
“The Katy Perry robot is glitching,” a fan joked.
Another said it was “freaking bizarre”.
The American Idol judge took to Instagram to address the viral video.
She reshared the clip and wrote in the caption: “Welcoming all my #flatearthers #spaceisfakers #birdsarentrealers #skyisntbluers to come see my broken doll eye party trick IRL in Vegas next year!

The singer was recently under fire for the lyrics in her hit song Dark Horse.
A lyric about serial killer Jeffery Dahmer was pointed out by fans.
The lyric, which says, “She eats your heart out like Jeffrey Dahmer,” was labelled as disrespectful.
