The Sopranos star Peter Bogdanovich has died at his home aged 82.
The legendary actor passed away his home in Los Angeles due to natural causes, according to his daughter Antonia Bogdanovich.
The US actor is known for great films such as The Last Picture Show, Paper Moon and What’s Up, Doc?
Other movies on his roster include Targets, Saint Jack, Daisy Miller and At Long Last Love.
His last feature as a director was for the film titled She’s Funny That Way in 2014.
The successful filmmaker also appeared in episodes of the TV series Get Shorty and recently in the film Willie and Me.

He also famously starred in The Sopranos as Dr. Elliot Kupferberg, who was a therapist to Tony Soprano’s own psychologist, Dr. Melfi.
Fans took to Twitter to show their love for the actor, with one saying: “RIP Peter Bogdanovich who takes with him the secrets of how he pulled so far beyond his league”
A second wrote: “Peter Bogdanovich’s immense talents and encyclopedic knowledge of film history were a gift to us all. RIP to a legend.”

While a third penned: “With the death of Peter Bogdanovich, one of the last remaining links to classic Hollywood is also gone.”
A fourth typed: “With the death of Peter Bogdanovich, one of the last remaining links to classic Hollywood is also gone.”
That comment links to the fact critics argued he was one of the last remaining links between old and new Hollywood.
Another stated: “Peter Bogdanovich, RIP. The Last Picture Show and Paper Moon are films that I absolutely adore.”

And another touching note said: “We are saddened to hear about the passing of prolific director and a dear friend of ours, Peter Bogdanovich. A leading voice of ’70s Hollywood and a champion of Classic Hollywood, his passion inspired generations of filmmakers.”
In addition to his daughter who found him, the late movie maker is survived by his three grandchildren Maceo, Levi and Wyatt.
His vivid personal life made him as interesting as his work, after an affair that went public with actress Cybill Shepherd, the model he discovered when producing The Last Picture Show.
The romance cost him his marriage to fellow film buff and collaborator Polly Platt.
