Louise Redknapp pays sweet tribute to Judge Rinder after Ukraine rescue effort

Louise Redknapp has called Robert Rinder an “inspiration” after he travelled to war-torn Ukraine on a rescue mission.

The Judge Rinder star headed to Ukraine despite the gravely dangerous situation in the country currently as he helped his Strictly Come Dancing partner Oksana Platero to save her family at the border.

Robert, 43, shared photos on his social media after an emotional reunion with her family members as they crossed the border into Poland finally reaching safety.

Emotional on the post he wrote a heartwarming caption about how they had provided urgent medical supplies to them.

He said: “Auntie Lidya and Grandma Zoya. We managed to reach them this morning with a wheelchair & some medical supplies.

“Despite having nearly nothing.. they are ‘grateful for everything.’”

The criminal law barrister also shared a picture of the family dog on his Instagram page who had managed to travel across Ukraine and over the border with them.

He posted: “Oksana’s family have Tesla their puppy with them… ‘He brings us so much love that we forget the bad things.’”

Louise Redknapp, touched by the incredible gesture then took to the comments section to congratulate him for his kindness as she heaped praise on him for doing something so wonderful.

She said: “You’re an amazing human and will always inspire me. I’m so proud to be your friend x.”

Oksana also commented on the post leaving a series of heart emojis under the pictures before creating a tribute of her own to her one-time dance partner and friend on her Instagram page.

Robert helped the traumatised family cross safely into Poland

She said: “I can’t say thank you enough to my wonderful SCD partner @robrinder and his team for being there for my family and so many others.

“You are a truly remarkable man and my love for you is limitless. The world needs more people like you.”

The pair performed together on the hit BBC dance show in 2016.
