Love Island winner Kem Cetinay has revealed his mum sent him a secret note into the villa.
The 26-year-old hairstylist appeared on the ITV2 dating show back in 2017.
He coupled up with Welsh performer Amber Davies and they ended up winning the competition.
The pair have since split and Kem now hosts the Love Island: The Morning After podcast.
Opening up about his experience in the villa during a chat with co-host Arielle Free and Love Island 2021 contestant Priya Gopaldas on Thursday’s (June 9) show, Kem shared a behind-the-scenes secret.
He revealed that he tried to sneak in a photo of his dog into the villa but he could get it in.

However, his mum Figen found a clever way to communicate with her son.
He said: “What happened was basically I had two pairs of white jeans, because I liked white jeans then, but somebody went into my suitcase on the way to Love Island and took my white jeans.
“One of them they took and the other pair were just ruined.

“So they rung my mum and then my mum ordered the same white jeans and she wrote a note in there to basically say like good luck because she didn’t want me to go it.”
“As I got the jeans, I went to take the note out and they took it off me.
Arielle asked Kem if he managed to read the message from his mum but he said he wasn’t allowed.
“I was already in the villa,” Kem explained.
“They were scared she was going to give me information.
“Nowawdays I think people sneak in more stuff. They’ve got bracelets and everything.”
Guest Priya, who appeared on the show last year, revealed that she accidentally snuck in a banned item during her stay in the villa.
She said: “When I was on the show I snuck something in actually but I didn’t realise I’d snuck something in.
“So I opened up my makeup bag and realised a watch in it.
“Obviously you don’t get told the time in the villa.
“It was right at the bottom and I was like ‘I’m not going to look at it’.”
The trio also went to discuss the latest episode of Love Island and looked ahead to the arrival of new bombshells Ekin–Su Cülcüloğlu and Afia Tonkmor.
Love Island airs nightly on ITV2 and ITV Hub at 9pm
