Former Love Island star Jay Younger has taken to Twitter to agree with fans over scrapping the popular morning debrief segment at the start of most episodes.
Fans on Reddit speculated that the segment was heavily produced and staged and brought no substance to the episode.
The user whose idea it was to scrap the segment wrote: “We almost never get new information. It takes up too much screen time. It’s just a waste.”

Viewers took to the thread to agree with the notion, one adding: “It’s so uncomfortable, too stage-managed.”
Another noted the awkward separate debrief bombshells appear to be made to have, saying: “It becomes even more ridiculous now that the bombshells aren’t allowed to be involved in said debriefs and therefore must have their own one.”
“It’s Love Island producers trying to force the ‘Do bits society’ without realising the reason that worked was that it was an organic creation. These debriefs are a joke in comparison,” said another user about how over-produced the segment feels.
Jay, who was dumped from the island a week ago alongside Chyna Mills, tweeted: “Hated these mandatory morning debriefs.”
“Do the producers actually tell you to go and sit somewhere and say one by one how your life is going?” a fan asked in response.
Jay bluntly answered with a simple, “Yes.”
Jay recently sparked rumours that he’d be returning to the villa after posting up a snap with host Laura Whitmore.
He captioned the post: “Back with the best Laura Whitmore. Now just to find the keys to the Villa.”
The cryptic message led fans to believe the theory saying he’d return after a space opened following Jacques O’Neill’s exit from the villa.
“Come back to the villa plssss!! It’s getting really boring [sic],” a fan wrote in the comments.
Another added: “Are you going back in?? You are the only bombshell that bombshelled.”
With the final week looming it looks like Jay might return as a member of the audience for the finale episode as past islanders have done in previous seasons.
