Love Island star Liam Llewellyn has finally revealed the reason for his change in accent during his dates with Afia Tonkmor and Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu.
In a candid interview on Sunday’s Aftersun, 22-year-old Liam also opened up about his decision to leave the ITV dating show.
The Welsh student had been left single after Italian bombshell Davide Sanclimenti, 27, re-coupled with his partner Gemma Owen, 19.
Fortunately for Liam, the public sent him on dates with new girls Ekin-Su, 27, and Afia, 25.
However, fans were left confused when he tried to put on a “seductive accent” when speaking to the girls.
One person tweeted: “It is just me or is Liam putting on a weird accent.”

Another said: “Why is Liam trying to hide the strong Welsh accent,” whilst one viewer wrote: “Also why is Liam putting on this cringe accent hahaha.”
Speaking on Aftersun, Liam said: “I didn’t even notice that.”
He added: “I don’t think you realise how close we sit. She was basically on my lap, so I didn’t feel like I wanted to project my voice to hurt her ears.

“I was just speaking at what I thought was a normal tone.”
Liam left the Love Island villa ahead of the first recoupling during Friday night’s episode.
He gathered his fellow islanders around the fire pit and admitted he was not giving 100% of himself and was struggling after being unable to find a romantic connection.
Following his exit, Liam said: “It was a tough decision, but it wasn’t a spur of the moment thing. I’d been thinking about that for a while.
“I feel like I’ve made the right decision for me.”
He added: “When I found out the public had coupled me up with Gemma, I was buzzing. She’s obviously a stunning girl, who wouldn’t be buzzing with that decision?
“I did sort of get the impression her head might have been elsewhere when Davide walked in. I think that was proof in the pudding.”
Liam also couldn’t believe it when he finally found out Gemma’s dad is former professional footballer Michael Owen.
He said: “I can’t believe I didn’t quite work it out.”
He added: “I didn’t expect the support I’ve been getting, it’s been crazy. It’s a big eye-opener for me how many people were on my side and had my back.
“It was nice to come out and see all of that.”
Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
