Louis Tomlinson admits his drinking got out of hand in One Direction.
The Doncaster lad was keen to be seen as a “rock star” so he drank “more and more”.
He confessed: “The first time I had a drink before a show in One Direction I remember thinking to myself, ‘This is what it feels like to be a rock star but I am in a pop band’.

“So every show that goes on you’re drinking a little more. Bear in mind I have to be respectful to the fanbase and the parents, all these things I have to do when you’re a ‘young role model’, or whatever they called us.
“But I am drinking more and more.”
Louis, top of the charts with second solo LP Faith In The Future, recalled one night where he took it too far.
He continued: “I am drinking vodka Red Bulls, that’s my drink of choice, but where this show was so different is that I am drinking on stage and I never used to do that before.
“And I was drinking before the show, my cup was constantly getting topped up, and I don’t really remember the show, I don’t remember the night.
“I just remember getting into the car and my body knew, I just threw up all over myself.
“Bear in mind two minutes before I was playing a stadium to 50,000 people and that would not have been a good look. I got put to bed and missed that night out.”
Speaking about his One Direction days, Louis was quick to slam one US university offering a degree in his bandmate Harry Styles.

Texas State University Honours College is offering an academic course entitled ‘Harry Styles and the Cult of Celebrity: Identity, the Internet, and European Pop Culture’.
But Louis wasn’t wholly impressed, as he said: ” I don’t really have any interest in having a course made about me, to be fair!
“But each to their own.”
The interviewer joked that it was “a very strange thing not to be interested in”.
And Louis shot back: “You sound very interested, to be fair, maybe you should sign up?”
