Reservoir Dogs actor Michael Madsen's son Hudson found dead in Hawaii aged 26

Hudson Madsen, son of Hollywood actor Michael Madsen, has been found dead aged 26 in Hawaii.

According to reports, the star’s son passed away from an alleged “self-inflicted gunshot wound”.

A spokeswoman for the Department of the Medical Examiner in Honolulu told The Sun: “I can confirm Hudson Lee Madsen, 26, died by a gunshot wound to the head in a suspected suicide on the island of Oahu.”

The spokeswoman didn’t comment on when the tragedy took place.

A representative for the bereaved family released a statement, telling The Blast: “We are heartbroken and overwhelmed with grief and pain at the loss of Hudson.

“His memory and light will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.

“We ask for privacy and respect during this difficult time. Thank you.”

A source also told The Sun that Hudson’s mother, DeAnna, was currently out travelling to Hawaii.

DeAnna is also an actress and starred in titles such as Fall: The Price of Silence and The Price of Air.

The actress married her husband Michael in 1996, who is famously known for starring in Kill Bill Vol 1 and 2 and Reservoir Dogs.

Hudson was the godson of legendary movie buff Quentin Tarantino.

He also served time in the US Army and was said to have spent time in Afghanistan barracks.

He was based at the Schofield Barracks in Oahu, Hawaii, home to the 25th Infantry Division.

Hudson married in 2018, to his wife Carlie, and had been residing in Wahiawa, Hawaii since August 2019.

The Army vet is survived by his wife, his two brothers Calvin, 25, and Luke, 16, and step-brothers Christian, 31, and Max, 27.

Friends and fans swarmed to social media after the news broke to send their condolences to the family.

One said: “Sad, may he rest in peace.”

A second wrote: “This is so upsetting. Thoughts are with the family.”

While a third penned: “Another gone too soon, I hope he’s found peace.”

A fourth typed: “Heaven has another Angel. RIP Hudson Madsen.”
