The Apprentice's Karren Brady 'slung out' of Buckingham Palace after outstaying welcome

The Apprentice’s Karren Brady has admitted that she was “slung out” of Buckingham Palace after outstaying her welcome.

Writing in her latest column for The Sun, the Baroness touched on how “fortunate” she feels to be able to say that she met the late Queen Elizabeth II on “many occasions”.

In her piece for the paper, Karren revealed that she shared “multiple dinners, lunches, banquets and drinks” with the monarch.

She recalled in her column how she first met Her Majesty in 2004, and was among 100 other women for the Women of Achievement Lunch.

With the likes of Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling and former Conservative Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in attendance, Karren sat down for a meal with some of the most famous faces in the UK – and the world.

Karren explained how when the Queen introduced everybody and when she reached her, she was stunned by everything she had achieved.

The Queen asked Karren: “How on earth do you do all that?”

To which Karren replied: “Like you, Ma’am, I’m a working mother — and, as Margaret said, ‘If you want something said ask a man, and if you want something done ask a woman’.”

The Apprentice star then recalled how the late monarch “gave a wry smile” and she felt as though they had “connected” in that moment.

It was after this that she revealed being “slung out” of the palace.

This comes as the nation mourns the death of Her Majesty, who sadly passed away on Thursday, September 8 aged 96.
