Graeme Hall is the star of Channel 5’s Dogs behaving (Very) Badly and has become known as the Dogfather among his fans.
He will be familiar to dog owners, especially those who need some serious help for the more unruly hounds out there.
The Yorkshire-born dog trainer has been working with man’s best friend for years and even has the motto “any dog, any age, any problem”, so he is one of the best in the business.
It’s no surprise then that he charges a pretty penny for his services, but it as viewers can see it is well worth the money.
Working with dogs may be his passion, but it wasn’t always his career.
Here is everything you need to know about Graeme Hall.
Who is The Dogfather Graeme Hall?
Graeme Hall is a presenter and dog trainer who has combined his two skills for the Channel 5 programme Dogs behaving (Very) Badly.
The 56-year-old was born in Selby, North Yorkshire, but his passion for pooches didn’t start until he was in his late 40s.
It kicked off when he got his two Rottweilers, Axel and Gordon.
Graeme worked tirelessly to ensure their training was done correctly as Rottweilers are an especially important breed to train right.
He now passes on his knowledge to others, with hundreds seeking out his expertise as they travel from across the country for his unique insights.
How much does Graeme Hall charge?
To get the Dogfather’s services, it will set you back at least £875.
That is if you live locally in Yorkshire or other nearby locations, but if Graeme has to travel it’ll cost more.
The details can be found on thedogfather.co.uk and to book you can call 0333 006 40 55 and pay a £250 deposit.
As he states on the website: “I’ll come to see your dogs in your environment, so if there’s a dog behaviour problem you’d like me to see, we can go on a walk or to where the problem happens. I’ll listen to what you need and give you the right advice to get you back on track.
“Common problems include: Dog aggression, pulling on lead, separation anxiety, dog recall, dogs jumping up, excessive barking, toilet training – Everything’s covered!”
Sadly, he is fully booked with clients right now, meaning you will have to wait for an undisclosed amount of time to get an appointment.
When you click on the One To One training page, a message appears which reads: “Thanks for checking out my website. I’m not currently taking new bookings for private dog training I’m afraid.
“I’m working through a long backlog of cases as COVID restrictions and my other commitments allow.
“Meanwhile, you may perhaps be interested in my book ‘All Dogs Great and Small’ or my podcast ‘Talking Dogs with Graeme Hall’.”
What was Graeme Hall’s first profession?
For the first 21 years of Graeme’s working life he didn’t work with dogs at all, and was in fact in a completely different industry.
Graeme was an executive for Weetabix, the cereal brand.
Little is known about his time working there, as Graeme has not talked about it on his show.
Viewers can be grateful for his two Rottweiler puppies that took him away from that job and into the world of dog training.
