At times she has feared her work would push her to breaking point.

Yvette said: “I have had lots of frightening experiences where you question your sanity. You think, ‘If this carries on I’m going to need looking after’.”

Yvette is one of most famous TV psychics in the country

Of the terrifying table tennis-loving spook she said: “It was a house on a council estate.

“No-one could live in it since the 1970s.

“We had the most extraordinary frightening phenomena. We’d had a carving knife wedged between the seats of the sofa, we’d had things thrown at us.

“And we’d had trigger objects… ping pong balls. They were moving across the floor and then moving back again. There was no logical explanation.”

The incident, which took place in Pontefract, West Yorks, left Yvette badly shaken.

On cult show Nub TV, she revealed: “I remember we finished the investigation and I was sat in the car crying, saying the Lord’s Prayer over and over again. It was just a really scary location.”

Yvette was also left terrified during another filming session at the Edinburgh Vaults.

She recalled how a violent spirit slashed a crew member.

The star has been left horrified by plenty of malevolent spirits

Yvette said: “I watched, for the first time, people being scratched and harmed.

“The sound man ended up in A&E having stitches in his leg because something had cut his leg. I resigned that night. I was like, ‘What the hell? What are we dealing with here?

“I don’t want to do it anymore. This is too scary’.”

Yvette is a guest on the new series of Nub TV, which airs on Thursdays at 9pm on Sky TV Channel 186.
