A Place in the Sun presenter Jean Johansson was left with her head in her hands after being warned that her potential buyers were going to give her a “difficult search.”
In the episode, which aired on May 3, the Channel 4 property expert was enlisted to help couple Ryan and Steve find their ideal holiday home in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria.
However, the pair, from London, were warned it would be a “difficult search” as they were looking for a one or two-bedroom apartment in the Canary Islands and came armed with a maximum budget of £180,000.

They were also keen to be near the LGBTQ hotspots as well as the stunning beach after Steve had travelled there before and fallen in love with the region.
However, Ryan confirmed he had never visited the area but that he knew they wanted to be where the community is celebrated.
Discussing their ideal property with Jean, Steve revealed he would be replacing all the interior of any property they ended up buying. This prompted Jean to ask Ryan: “Is this going to be a difficult search?”
Ryan was in hysterics as he told Jean it would be, which prompted the host to put her head in her hands.
She added: “This is going to be a fun search, I can tell.”
The buyers were fans of the majority of homes on the search but particularly loved the final property, which was priced at just below £176,000.
The couple were delighted when Jean confirmed their offer for the apartment in Playa del Ingles had been accepted for £162,000.

Viewers took to Twitter as the episode aired and noted the apartments seemed a lot smaller than you’d expect for that kind of price. One wrote: “155 ouch.”
“Don’t get much for your money in Gran Canaria do you?!,” said another.
A third joked: “Adorable isn’t the word I’d use…. detention centre would be nearer the mark.”
A fourth penned: “My hallway is bigger than that!”
Another echoed: “I knew these properties would be grim today. £150k buys you naff all in the Canaries.”
A Place in the Sun airs on Channel 4 every weekday from 3pm.
