BBC Breakfast presenter Rachel Burden revealed she was going to be taking a break from her co-star Rick Edwards as they would be hosting BBC 5 Live separately.
As she returned to the studio to host alongside Ben Thompson, she revealed that she would be swapping Rick for the red sofa.

Posing together in a picture by their mics, Rachel told fans: “We’re on a break for a few weeks (holidays/other work stuff) so enjoy the rest of the summer – we’ll be back together in September,” as she tagged Rick in the snap.
Following responses from fans, Rachel quickly clarified: “For clarity – a break from each other (unrelated to lava lamps).
“One of us at least should be in the @bbc5live studios throughout the summer,” as Rick posted: “*related to lava lamps.”
One fan joked: “Remember when Ross and Rachel went on a ‘break’…?
Another added: “How will you cope till September.”
A third cheekily asked: “You don’t go on holiday together?”
It comes after the pair had a hilarious clash on air as they both tried to make their own lava lamps, with a frustrated Rick lashing out at Rachel for doing the project better.
On the show during the experiment, Rick shouted: “You used all the oil!”
Rachel hit back: “No I think I understood all of the different measurement requirements a bit better than you.”
The annoyed presenter responded: “Well I didn’t have enough. You used it all.
“Look at this mess! It’s because I didn’t have enough volume.”
Rachel scolded: “No it was because you squirted the oil with too much vigour and disturbed the bicarbonate soda. I wanted you about vigorous oil squirting.”
Rick cheekily replied: “I’ll be squirting your oil too vigorously in a minute. I don’t know what that means. I’m cross about this.”
Rachel, 48, usually presents BBC 5 Live’s Breakfast Show daily and BBC Breakfast on weekends after beginning her radio career as a reporter at BBC Radio Suffolk and joined Radio 5 live in 2003.
