BBC Breakfast presenters Naga Munchetty and Ben Thompson told off weather reporter Matt Taylor as he gave an update on the latest forecast news.
Matt told viewers: “It won’t be until we get to around Thursday before we start to see the cooler conditions return to the south of the country, so it will stay warm until the start of next week. Back to you Ben and Naga.”

Naga said: “So on the tail of north and south, some people would be very happy with those temperatures, I heard someone say the other day, I like the seasons, I like the fact that we have seasons, I don’t want summer to carry on.”
Matt responded: “Completely different seasons, but to go with the rain across Scotland, believe it or not there could be some snow across the mountains, so how is that for contrast?”
Naga sighed: “Oh I wish I hadn’t asked now, I thought it would be a milder contrast than that,” as Ben responded: “Too far, Matt, too far.”
Things turned a little frosty in the studio once again as Matt returned to give another update on the forecast later in the show.
As Matt pointed out the contrast between the north and the south, Ben replied: “Lark the looks of that Matt, thank you. Real difference right across the country.”
Naga replied: “You won’t like it if you like the seasons,” to which Ben said: “I think we’re going to get enough seasons. Winter is coming down the line pretty soon so we’ll hang onto a little bit of warmth for a little bit longer.”
His co-star replied: “If you’re down south, that is, in England. Not in Scotland.”
Ben responded: “Good point,” as the pair quickly moved on with the show.
BBC Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am on BBC1.
