BGT fans ‘traumatised’ after ‘most dangerous and disgusting act’ in ITV show history

Britain’s Got Talent fans were traumatised after watching an act dubbed “the most disgusting and dangerous” in the show’s history.

The ITV programme has been running since 2007 but massage therapist Andrew Stanton managed to break that record 16 years later after a nail-biting performance on Saturday night (April 29).

The stuntman, who put on a chilling display as he remained silent throughout his entire audition, began threading a huge sword down his throat while paramedics were on standby.

If that wasn’t enough, a woman joined him on stage and smashed a pan on the end of the sword, pushing it further down his throat as the judges and audience watched on in horror.

He then pointed at Amanda Holden and gestured her to come up up on stage, with Simon Cowell giving his fellow judge a standing ovation as she headed on stage.

“Oh my god, I’m shaking,” the 52-year-old whispered as Andrew attached two ropes onto a belt which was strapped around Amanda’s waist.

Threading a sword down his throat, the stuntman then hooked the belt onto his eyeballs before lifting Amanda off the floor.

After his performance, the Heart FM radio host said: “I only saw the first part of your act because believe me I had my eyes shut for the rest of it.

“I have been doing this show for 16 years and we have never seen anything like it.”

Simon, 63, added: “I say this as a compliment – it was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen in the history of Got Talent. That is quite an achievement.”

After all four judges gave Andrew a yes, presenter Declan Donnelly revealed: “I talked to one of the guys backstage who said this is one of the most dangerous things we have ever had on.”

“So congratulations for that,” laughed Ant McPartlin.

BGT fans were left feeling sick after the nail-biting audition and headed straight to social media to share their thoughts.

““That guy made me feel physically sick, don’t think it’s appropriate at all #BGT,” said one viewer.

A second person added: “L’ill bit traumatised by #BGT if I’m honest.”

“That sword swallower is f***ing bonkers #BGT,” shared another person.

While a fourth chimed in: “#BGT going way too far, that sword act wasn’t talent, felt physically sick and had to pause so I could fast forward , gross out TV.”
