BGT’s Dec cries ‘what’s going on?’ as Simon Cowell breaks rules in show-first

Britain’s Got Talent hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly were left utterly speechless over one moment on the ITV talent show.

During Saturday’s instalment of the beloved talent competition (May 20), fans were treated to a whole new batch of lucky contestants willing to perform their hearts out for the star-studded panel.

And things took a dramatic turn when head judge Simon Cowell threw out the rule book and added a seventh confirmed act to the live semi-finals.

Usually the golden buzzer is pressed throughout the auditions with the judges all getting to pick an act and Ant and Dec also getting one between them.

But this time around, Simon threw caution to the wind after he was blown away by one group’s emotional performance.

For the final performance of the episode, a dance group made up of members from all up and down the country.

Throughout their routine, the group shared a number of their own personal stories and experiences of what it has been like for them to grow up outside of the societal norms.

After an incredible performance, each judge gushed over the group with Bruno Tonioli branding it “simply superb” as Simon admitted it was an “audition he’d never forget”.

It was at this point that the crowd started chanting ‘Golden Buzzer’ as the dancers giggled with excitement.

Simon confessed: “We don’t have any golden buzzers yet but sometimes I feel you should just break the rules.”
