Britney Spears’ ex Kevin Federline ‘gives star deadline’ to move sons to Hawaii

Britney Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline has given the pop star a deadline to approve his plan to relocate their sons to Hawaii.

TMZ reported that Kevin, 45, may go to court to get the move agreed, given that he has sole custody of Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden, 16.

Kevin, who is said to be able to get work as a DJ, wants to move from bustling Los Angeles with his children and wife Victoria Prince in August.

His lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, said he had asked 41-year-old Britney’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, “several times” to send a letter or email stating that the Oops!… I Did It Again singer was “okay with the move” but had not received a response.

Kaplan said Kevin plans to move on August 1 and had to arrange accommodation while his wife has a job offer at a local university, but has yet to accept it.

Kaplan added that “there should be no issue” with the two boys, saying Kevin has custody and claims Britney has not seen her sons in “more than a year”.

TMZ said Kaplan had given Rosengart a deadline of the end of this week (June 2) to respond, after which he will file legal documents asking for a move-away order.

It comes as Britney’s marriage to Sam Asghari, 29, is said to be facing issues following their lavish nuptials almost a year ago.

Last year the singer admitted a “part of her had died” as she had not seen her sons for six months and they didn’t attend her wedding.

Kevin noted it had been a difficult time for their children since a judge ruled to end Britney’s 13-year conservatorship in 2021, freeing the star from the controversial legal arrangement that controlled her life.

Prior to her marriage with fitness guru-turned-actor Sam, Britney was married to dancer Kevin from 2004 to 2007.
