Coronation Street could be set to lose yet another iconic character, as one star has hinted at her exit in a cryptic post.
Cait Fitton joined the ITV cobbles late last year as Max Turner’s girlfriend Lauren Bolton – daughter to Reece, one of Griff’s racist thugs.
In this week’s episodes, Corrie fans saw Griff and his gang plant a bomb on the Speed Daal van, which Alya was forced to drive to safety before it blew up.

But with Griff forced to lie low after his scheme was exposed, could it signal Lauren’s exit?
Cait took to her Instagram after Wednesday night’s episode with a rather cryptic post, posing in her ITV puffer coat outside the Rovers Return for a black-and-white monochrome snap.
Eerily reminiscent of the snap she used to announce her arrival onto the cobbles, Cait also dropped a rather mysterious caption, writing: “Was a dream… still is a dream.”
She later branded herself “the luckiest girl in the world”.
Worried fans soon turned to the comments section to ask if she intends to stick around on the famous cobbles, with one writing: “I hope you’re staying in the soap!”
“Hope you stay and your character changes her ways!” someone else penned, while a third wrote: “Noooo does this mean you’re leaving?”
Others simply chimed in to tell Cait how proud they are of her, with one fan gushing: “So very proud of you girl!”
“Forever proud of you,” someone else echoed.
Upon joining up to the show in October 2022, Cait – who is a far cry from her character Lauren in real life – said her younger self would be “screaming” at her huge news.

She penned on Instagram: “A pinch me moment. I am super excited and proud to announce that I will be joining the cast of CORONATION STREET!”
She added: “Being a born and bred Mancunian who’s grown up watching the show, I can’t quite put into words how much this means to me!
“Never in a million years did I think this would be something I’d ever get to achieve and accomplish so young (or even ever!!!) but here I am living the dream.
“My younger self is screaming right now!!!”
She added: “I want to say a big thank you to all the cast and crew at @coronationstreet for inviting me in with open arms and making me feel so welcome!” before thanking her agent, family and friends for their ongoing support.
