In the alleged messages, which reportedly started on October 21, 2018, the BBC presenter appears to reach out to the teen, who follows the top TV star, with just a red love heart emoji before the young person asks about his BBC role.

The young person replied: “Ahahah sweet. How’s it going over the the BBC”

Presenter then replied: “All good thanks x” before adding “you ok?” and sending another red love heart emoji.

The teen then responded: “What have you been up to today”

“Out walking, bit of work, you?” the presenter said.

“Practically nothing except listening to music and watching Netflix,” the young person messaged back.

The alleged messages reportedly continued the following day on October 22 between the pair.

The young person asked: “How’s your work going? Must be really interesting.”

The BBC star replied: “Busy week.”

Probing for more information, the teen asked: “Any specifics”.

The presenter’s response is blanked out by The Sun but the young person went on to ask: “What’s your take on the matter”.

With still no response, the young person then sends a photo to BBC star in their private conversation on November 11.

The BBC star replied with a red love heart emoji.

“Must have been amazing to be part of,” the young person said.

“It was a great night”, the presenter replied.

On January 10, 2019, the young person messaged the BBC presenter about work opportunities.

“Yes no question,” the star replied.

The star replied with three thumbs up emojis.

The teen claims the BBC presenter messaged them when they were still in school.

Speaking to The Sun, they claimed: “Looking back now it does seem creepy because he was messaging me when I was still at school.

“In light of everything now, I feel shocked because as a broadcaster it is a name everyone would trust.

“I had no reason to think it was anything beyond that at that time.”

The teenager said he was “surprised” to receive the message but was “excited” as the young person “knew who he was”.

It has been claimed the first message from the TV star was sent to the teenager in October 2018, with the young person first following him months earlier.

They also claimed to ask the presenter whether they should take part in a “BBC school scheme” which the suspended star encouraged them to do so.

The presenter is said to be “extremely angry” over the allegations, former BBC star Jon Sopel has said.

Speaking on The News Agents, Jon said: “A number of people have been in touch with the presenter to say they feel righteous fury over the way The Sun has covered this and it is fair to say that the presenter at the heart of this is also extremely angry over a lot of The Sun coverage and is convinced they’re trying to dig and find new dirt to harm this particular person’s reputation.

“The person at the centre of this – you can’t imagine what a maelstrom it must be – is getting some support from across the world of broadcast but from outside that as well.”
