Eamonn Holmes has broken his silence after Phillip Schofield announced his exit from This Morning.
The TV presenter has shared a sweet snap of him online with his granddaughter Emilia.
He captioned his tweet: “Pappa got a smacker Thank u Emilia. All in all that rounded off what turned out to be a good day.”

Fans flocked to the thread to support the star, with one writing: “We know who’s the boss there Eamonn.”
A second added: “I see what you did there. Love it.”
Another penned: “Adorable.”
Whereas one fan wrote “So cute” and another then typed “She’s the sweetest”.
“Just seen this clip on the This Morning YouTube channel from Thursday.
“Watch from 10 sec in when a guest presenter after seeing a segment on a robot says it could one day replace them on the couch and present. The body language of Phil and holly,” a fourth posted.
This comes after Phillip Schofield revealed he had left This Morning as he shared a statement online.
He wrote: “I have always been proud to cover fascinating stories on This Morning.
“But recently, This Morning itself has become the story.
“Throughout my career in TV – including the very difficult last few days – I have always done my best to be honourable and kind.
“I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can’t go on, and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love.
“So I have agreed to step down from This Morning with immediate effect, in the hope that the show can move forward to a bright future.
“I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me – especially This Morning’s amazing viewers – and I’ll see you all for the Soap Awards next month.”
