The news stunned Kat, as she fell into his arms and the embraced in an emotional moment and Phil looked on.
But some fans aren’t convinced that Alfie is telling the truth about his results, claiming that he wants to protect Kat and Tommy from suffering while he battles the disease.
“Could Alfie be lying about getting the all clear? This is why Alfie never told Kat in the first place because he wanted to protect her & Tommy. # EastEnders,” theorized one fan.
“Alfie lying to kat saying he got the all clear his cancer screening results, because he most likely doesn’t want to worry anyone,” penned a second viewer.
A third echoed: “Not people actually believing Alfie has the all clear, you know he’s lying to protect kat and doesn’t wanna hurt her feelings,” while a fourth added: “So Alfie been given the all clear well that’s what he’s told Kat and Phil who are in the waiting room #EastEnders.”
Fans also believe that Kat may fall back into Alfie’s arms after the shock of his news.
