Life is never straightforward in EastEnders, as fans believe Reiss Colweel is about to find out. After committing to IVF with his girlfriend Sonia, the controversial character admitted to his comatosed wife that he’d taken some of her money.
As the couple are both struggling in the fertility department, with Reiss’ sperm rate declining at a rapid rate, they’ve decided to pull out all the stops to start the family they crave.
In a tragic turn of events, Sonia’s boyfriend revealed that his previous marriage ended in heartbreak after his wife suffered a stroke in the bath, rendering her unable to communicate.

Feeling he could no longer give her the care she needed, Reiss made the difficult decision to move on.

In a bid to continue being a part of Debbie’s life, he regularly visits her. And on this occasion, he left the audience shocked after it came to light that the money funding his planned parenthood with Sonia isn’t really his.
As it stands, his new partner is under the impression that the money has emerged from a savings account that had previously slipped his mind.

However, the fans know the truth. In all reality, he took advantage of his wife’s vulnerable situation and stole the finances for his own needs.
The viewers watched in despair as Reiss insisted that he’d pay her back. However, in the eyes of the nation, he’s gone a step too far by committing the theft in the first place.

Subsequently, the viewers have flocked to Twitter to give their opinion, with many convinced that Debbie is about to wake up and throw a massive spanner in the works.
One fan said: “Fam, this Debbie woman is gonna wake up, and I’m dreading it.”
