Holly Willoughby ‘not rushing’ Dancing on Ice decision and is focusing on family

Dancing on Ice bosses are eagerly waiting for Holly Willoughby to sign on the dotted line for another year.

The presenter, 42, hasn’t confirmed whether she will be back on screens after quitting This Morning earlier this year following an alleged plot to kidnap her. She has avoided the spotlight in the months since and focused on spending time with her family.

But Holly knows there is a decision looming over her regarding her return to Dancing on Ice with new reported co-star Stephen Mulhern. It’s now reported that Holly will be making a decision soon – but not until after the festive period.

A source told The Sun that she’s “spending Christmas with those closest to her”. The former This Morning star wants to focus on being around her family and her nearest and dearest before deciding whether she will return.

They added: “She is not rushing to make a decision and is putting it to the side for now.” It was claimed she’ll be making her decision in the new year.

While it’ll be putting bosses on the edge of their seat as they don’t currently have a second co-host, reports claim that Stephen Mulhern has signed his contract to take over from Phillip Schofield.

The series is mere weeks away, so the second co-host search would be cutting it down to the wire, but ITV are hoping they can get Holly back on board for the series. Holly presented the skating show from 2006-2011, and then from 2018-present after it was briefly taken off air.

She previously hosted the show with Phil, but after he quit This Morning and later admitted to a relationship with a former colleague which he “lied to ITV about”, their working relationship was severed. Prior to Holly’s exit from This Morning, bosses were looking for a replacement for Phil.

Ben Shephard was reported to have been lined up for the role, but they have since tried different pairings after Holly confirmed she wouldn’t be returning. It has since been reported that Ben will be presenting the show alongside Cat Deeley in the new year.
