Home and Away stars have rushed to support Emily Weir as she announced a new project.
The actress, 32, who made her debut as Mackenzie Booth in 2019, revealed she will be taking part in Channel 7’s Dancing with the Stars.
The brunette beauty is following in the footsteps of Summer Bay legends, including Kate Ritchie who played Sally Fletcher on and off from 1988 until 2013, as well as Ada Nicodemou who has starred as Leah Patterson since 2000.

Sharing a snap wearing her glitzy outfit on Instagram, Emily told her 123,000 when they can expect to see her on screens.
She penned: “June 18th is time for dancing queens, getting footloose and jiggy wit it, tune in on @channel7to watch the best cast twist and shout! There will be big hair and big heart.”
Tagging her dance partner, Lyu Masuda, the soap star added: “I love you”.
It wasn’t long before several members of the Home and Away cast flocked to the comments to share their support for their co-star.
Ada Nicodemou exclaimed: “This is so exciting”.
Sarah Roberts, who portrayed Willow Harris from 2017 until 2020, gushed: “There she issss can’t wait!!!!!”
Courtney Ally, who recently made her last appearance as Bella Nixon, added: “HOT,” as Eden Fowler star Stephanie Panozzo shared: “Can’t damn wait”.
Kyle Shilling, who made his Home and Away debut as Mali Hudson earlier this year, wrote: “Ooooo keen”.
While Kirsty Marillier, who stars as Rose Delaney, commented: “Gonna be screaming for you tomo!!!!”
During Friday’s episode (June 16) of the Channel 5 soap, Mackenzie received the devastating news that Gabe had died of cancer.
