Two Dancing on Ice contestants have reportedly been ordered to seek medical attention.
It comes after the closure of the Clarie Sweeney and Ricky Hatton’s training venue, Planet Ice in Widnes, Merseyside due to fears of a carbon monoxide leak. Former boxer Ricky and Coronation Street actress Claire, who were present at the time of the incident, were given an “urgent warning” to get checked out.
According to The Sun, Gas supplier Cadent were said to have been called to the scene, meanwhile, after reports of a “number of people feeling unwell”. And an update on Wednesday (November 15)provided by ice hockey team Widnes Wild – who play their home games at the venue – said the matter still hasn’t been completely resolved.

The statement continued: “In the meantime, anyone who was present at the site at the weekend is advised to seek medical advice if they feel unwell.”
A Cadent spokesman added: “As the gas emergency service, we responded to reports of a possible carbon monoxide incident at the ice rink venue. Earlier this month producers of the ITV show revealed action is to be taken in a bid to prevent a similar tragedy occurring to that of American ice hockey, star Adam Johnson. Johnson was killed in a match between Nottingham Panthers and Sheffield Steelers last month after an opponent’s skate horrifically sliced open his throat during a collision between the pair.
The incident, which was witnessed by 8,000 spectators led to the abandonment of the game. Police subsequently launched an investigation into the 29-year old’s death and made an arrest on Tuesday (November 14).

Frankie Seaman, who starred on Dancing On Ice between 2007 and 2016 explained to MailOnline: “I’m sure bosses will be responding to this incident by putting more safety measures in place and be taking preventative precautions. afety at the training sessions on the ice rinks (outside of the studio) are pretty solitary; it’s more often than not just a pro and their celeb, so I would imagine they’ll be stepping up supervision on those days.
“And hopefully reigning in the requests for the more dangerous tricks except from the more capable celebs/pro partnerships.”
Dancing On Ice is set to begin on ITV in January
