Rihanna confirms pregnancy after she 'breaks' the internet following Super Bowl stint

Rihanna, 34, is pregnant with her second child a few months after giving birth to her first.

The music sensation sent the internet into a frenzy on Sunday (February 12) with her hot-grossing performance, where she donned an all-red ensemble that caused fans to speculate if she was pregnant.

Following her explosive performance, a representative for the award-winning singer has confirmed that she is, in fact, pregnant, with her second child with rapper A$AP Rocky.

Neither A$AP nor Rihanna have reacted publicly to the news. However, rapper A$AP was captured supporting his partner during her performance in Arizona.

It comes after Rihanna performed the halftime show without introducing another performer, prompting fans to suggest that the baby was her “surprise guest”.

“So when #rihanna told @nateburleson there was gonna be a surprise guest at the halftime show, I’m betting that the BABY is the surprise guest #JustSayin #SuperBowl,” a fan tweeted.

In response to the tweet, podcast Nate Burleson replied: “Bingo.”

Earlier in the week, Nate spoke to Rihanna during the first episode of his podcast where she revealed that there would be a surprise guest during her performance.

Fans noticed that she didn’t introduce another performer during her Super Bowl stint, and many were convinced her blossoming bump was her “surprise guest”.

Rihanna gave birth to her first child, a boy whose name has not been publicly shared, in May of 2022 with her partner A$AP.

When she was expecting her first child Rihanna spoke with Vogue about her pregnancy.

“When I found out I was pregnant, I thought to myself, ‘There’s no way I’m going to go shopping in no maternity aisle,'” she said.

Adding: “I’m sorry – it’s too much fun to get dressed up. I’m not going to let that part disappear because my body is changing.”

Talking more recently on motherhood, she confessed: “When you become a mum, there’s something that just happens.

“You feel like you can take on the world. You can do anything.”
