Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield kicked off their morning show on Thursday morning to an unusual encounter.
The duo welcomed a dance troupe on the show who were dressed up as storm troopers from Star Wars – all in a nod to Thursday’s date, May 4.

The hosts welcomed the group onto This Morning to give a special performance as they explained that it’s a special day for Star Wars fans.
Four storm troopers walked through the studio and started to dance to Jessie J’s Bang Bang – much to the viewers’ surprise and the fellow guests’ amusement.
While the performance was quite impressive, viewers were still left very confused as one user took to Twitter to write: “What is going on?”
Another said: “What is this?” as a third wrote: “WTF is this s**t.”
Meanwhile, another person cheekily said they were finding the dancing storm troopers “really erotic”.
An additional viewer wrote: “Dancing storm troopers? Think I’ve seen it all now,” while another said: “I haven’t slept for 48 hours, so can someone tell me if I’m hallucinating watching storm troopers dancing Diversity style?”
The group were doing flips and splits on the floor alongside a caption which read: “May the Fourth be with you!”
Elsewhere on the show the duo are covering everything Coronation, a chat with Craig Revel Horwood and Mo Gilligan on the show.
Holly appeared alongside Phil looking glamorous as usual on the show as she shared her outfit ahead of taking part.
The beauty was immediately flooded with compliments as she shared the look, with one user writing: “Love the dress on you today Holly! The colour looks lovely.”
Another said: “Wow! You look absolutely stunning my friend Holly. Good morning. Cheers.”
A third wrote: “You always look beautiful Holly.”
This Morning is continuing its coverage ahead of the Coronation this weekend.
It airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
