Alan Carr splits from toy-boy boyfriend months after going official on Instagram

Alan Carr is said to have split from his boyfriend just a couple of months after the pair went official.

The comedian, 47, had been dating Callum Heslop, who is twenty years Alan’s junior. Callum had joined Alan as he made his way around the US on a comedy tour, when they went public on social media back in November.

Carr even went as far as to introduce Callum to good pal Adele. The Rolling in the Deep singer has been a big supporter of her mate Alan, having officiated Alan’s previous wedding to then-husband Paul Drayton in 2018.

But now, things are reportedly falling apart for Alan once again as The Sun reports that the fledgling couple have already decided to call time on the relationship. But Carr is more than happy for Callum and is hoping to meet someone new in the future.

Speaking to the newspaper, Alan confirmed he was back on the market. “I’m looking, I’m looking. If you know any chubby chasers, let me know,” he quipped.

An insider close to the star said that the pair had hit it off, and when Alan introduced Callum to Adele, she welcomed him with open arms. The source said: “It takes a lot to introduce a partner to someone as famous as Adele but she couldn’t have been friendlier.”

Celebrity hairdresser Callum has his own salon in the Cheshire town of Knutsford and has been in the business for over eight years. Amongst his clientele are Corrie star Helen Flanagan and Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden.

In the snap making their relationship official on social media, the pair looked cosy as they were seen partying at Mariah Carey’s Christmas bash. Alan also seemed loved up as he placed his hand on Callum’s knee during a luscious dinner.

Alan’s split comes after he revealed he no longer wears his wedding ring after his split from former hubby Paul Drayton. Party planner Paul, 52, had called time on their marriage after four years of wedded bliss back in January 2022.

Despite being together for 13 years, Paul and Alan made a joint statement which confirmed they were breaking up. Posting the statement together on their platforms, they said: “After 13 years as a couple and three years of marriage, Alan Carr and Paul Drayton would like to announce they are separating,” the statement read.

“They have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go their separate ways. We request that their privacy is respected at this sensitive time.”

Paul soon posted a worrying update as he revealed that he had checked himself into rehab after dealing with alcoholism. He admitted that he had had a “challenging couple of years”, which culminated in Drayton pleading guilty to a charge of drink-driving in February of that year.
