Christine McGuinness ‘terrified’ of dating again as she opens up on Paddy marriage split

Christine McGuinness has confirmed she’s in no rush to marry again following her split from TV presenter Paddy McGuinness.

The 35-year-old has confessed that she can’t imagine tying the knot again with someone completely new and insists that she needs time for herself. The famous couple, who share three children together, confirmed last year that they decided to call time on their marriage but are still very good friends as they co-parent.

While appearing on BBC Two’s Pilgrimage: The Road Through North Wales, Christine opened up to viewers. She said: “The only life I’ve known is with Patrick and I’m not sure what my path is now I’m on my own. I need to figure it out.

“Patrick and I have been separated for almost two years now. But I don’t think I’ve dealt with the separation completely yet and I know that one day I’m going to have to do that.”

She continued: “Everyone has hard times, everyone has challenges, but if only you could gather all your trauma or your worries and just chuck it away. The biggest change is to come, I’m just scared of doing it.”

Christine and Paddy previously left their fans stunned when they revealed that they still lived togther. Parenting their children twins Penelope and Leo, nine, and Felicity, six, who all have autism, the pair revealed that they found it easier if they still all lived together under one roof.

Talking to The Sun, Christine said: “I don’t see myself getting married again, I just don’t. I’ve never had time to myself.” According to reports, the couple now sleep in separate bedrooms in their Cheshire mansion but they try to keep family life as normal as possible for the sake of their kids. Previously, Christine revealed that she is aware that Paddy is dating again.

Christine previously shared that she and Paddy will “always put their children first”. She added that co-parenting is working just fine but she is ‘not sure it’s their long-term plan’ to continue live together.

Blonde bombshell Christine previously formed a close friendship with footballer Chelcee Grimes, with the pair even snapped kissing in December 2022. However the pair have since unfollowed each other on their social media accounts.
