Cobra Kai’s Ralph Macchio shares major career highlight as fans left ‘annoyed’ over show

After the first episodes of the sixth and final season of Cobra Kai dropped on Netflix last week, Ralph Macchio, aka Daniel LaRusso, has been dishing out some juicy behind-the-scenes snaps.

Taking the director’s chair for the third episode, the star couldn’t resist sharing his excitement over this career milestone.

He posted a series of eight snaps showing him in full director mode, captioning it: “BTS Directing Ep 603 @cobrakaiseries on @netflix – A major highlight for me on this journey!

“I’m so immensely proud of my amazing cast, crew and stunt team! Launched arcing storylines and introduced dynamic characters for this season! Built new relationships and deepened old ones.

“Thank you to our show’s creators for the opportunity. I hope you enjoy it. Let me know your favorite moments. I have so many. Would love to hear yours. – RM,” he wrapped up his post, reports the Express.

Netflix decided to tease fans by dropping just the first five episodes last Wednesday, and unlike previous seasons, they’re splitting the final chapter into three bite-sized chunks of five episodes each. Fans who’ve already blitzed through the available episodes are less than chuffed, having to twiddle their thumbs until November for their next Cobra Kai fix.

Cobra Kai buffs have taken to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to vent their spleens about the four-month cliffhanger, with many echoing the same sentiment. One miffed viewer vented: “It doesn’t even feel like Cobra Kai is back cause we have to wait 4 months for another 5 episodes then another 4 months for another 5 episodes.”

A second person shared the sentiment and commented: “Loved Cobra Kai season 6 so far but annoyed now have to wait til November for more lol.” (sic).

Thirdly, a viewer grumbled: “Bro having to wait 2 years for season 6 to get 5 episodes and have to wait another 4 months for another 5 episodes is absolutely mind boggling to me! #CobraKaiSeason6 #cobrakai.”

In addition, another die-hard fan expressed disappointment by writing: “Seriously, you only give me five episodes and then tell me see you in November to cont! #CobraKai.”

Cobra Kai season six part one is streaming on Netflix now. Part two releases on November 25.
