EastEnders icon Dean Gaffney is looking for love online.
It is understood the former BBC soap star has turned to online dating to help him find the love of his life following his split from model Rebekah Rose-Ward in 2019. According to The Sun, the 46-year-old silver fox proudly declared dating him is “like winning the Lottery every day.”
His Hinge profile reportedly details all the ways his potential partners can win over the TV star, which starts with being humble. It states: “Be a nice humble person, it’s nice to be nice… you’ll get the same from me.”

Dean is said to have included a series of photos of himself dressed up to the nines. But the actor has one very strict rule his potential dates must adhere to.
It is thought that one big turn off for the doting dad is someone who smokes. According to the publication, Dean called a smoker his “most irrational fear.”
The TV favourite famously dated his childhood sweetheart Sarah Burge for more than two decades. The pair welcomed twin daughters Charlotte and Chloe, 27, together before calling it quits on their 22-year relationship.
Following his separation from Sarah, the Robbie Jackson star went on to date model Rebekah Rose-Ward for three years. But this isn’t the first time the star has used dating apps in the past after he was spotted on Bumble following their separation in 2019.
After a year of being unlucky in love, the actor put his heart in the hands of experts when he appeared on Celebs Go Dating. During his time on the E4 dating show, he admitted: “I want that butterfly feeling, I want to be in love.”
Most recently, the star opened up about his feelings about dating shows when he attended London’s TRIC Awards. The dad-of-two explained that the main reason he gave Celebs Go Dating a go was to pick up the eye-watering pay cheque.
After appearing on the Channel 4 show, the actor went on to share his thoughts on the reality of finding love on dating shows. When asked if his daughters would ever follow in his footsteps in the future, he said: “They wouldn’t go on a reality show to find love.
“It would never happen. They have been offered Love Island but they are private, which is nice. I think people who do go on a reality show to find love… is it genuine? Are they really going to find love or are they going for Instagram followers?”
When the star was reminded that he appeared on a similar dating show, Dean confessed: “I went on Celebs Go Dating to have a good time. At the end of the day it’s a job and a job pays money.”
It’s fair to say the actor didn’t have the most success on the reality show, after he was famously pied off during the first episode. Dean was mocked for his age after he opened up about his 18th birthday at a Romford club called the Hippodrome.
His date asked: “How long ago was that?” Things quickly turned awkward when ‘The Wolf of Walford’ asked a woman out on a date only for her to reject him.
Martine explained: “I think on this occasion I’ll probably say ‘no’” as the EastEnders ‘doof doof’ music played in the background. Dean quickly managed to brush off the awkward interaction, joking that she “must be a Corrie fan.”
