Emmerdale fans are convinced Meena Jutla Is heading back to the village.
It comes after the ITV soap dropped a major clue that the jailed serial killer nurse could be returning during recent scenes of the ITV soap when newcomer Ella Forster (Paula Lane) asked questions about Meena.
The doctor’s surgery receptionist arrived earlier this year and has built friendships with Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) and Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley). She flirted with Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) as they bonded over a love of houseplants and clashed with Meena’s sister Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker).

However, viewers have grown suspicious of her after she appeared curious about evil Meena and started asking questions about her. The nature of her questions left viewers wondering if she had sinister links to the village serial killer.
Taking to social media, one fan penned: “It looks like there’s more to Ella than meets the eye. Watch this space.” Another added: “Been in prison with Meena.” A third person wrote: “I think she’s been in prison with Meena. She’s come to get revenge on Manpreet. Just a though.”
Artificially intelligent ‘creative’ tool Gemini also told Daily Star:”Ella seems overly interested in the past, particularly the events surrounding Meena’s crimes. Her quesitons about the viaduct incident and her knowledge of Liam’s daughter Leanna (Meena’s victim) have raised eyebrows.
“Ella mentioned a friend who encouraged her to peruse nursing. Fans have bene speculating this friend could be Meena, perhaps influencing Ella’s move to the village. Also, new characters in soap operas often have hidden agendas. Ella’s seemingly friendly demeanour might be a facade, and her motives for coming to Emmerdale remain unclear.
“The writes haven’t confirmed any link between Ella and MEena. However, the clues have definitely piqued the audience’s interest and it will be interesting to see how Ella’s story unfolds. Meena wreaked havoc when she killed Liam’s daughter Leanna, Andrea Tate and Ben Tucker. Her dramatic storyline came to an end in April 2022 as she was finally sentenced in court.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
