A disturbing new horror film has some seriously messed-up scenes.
IndieWire branded The Front Room a “feaces-centric film” with one character “hating the literal sh** out of their mother-in-law”. Elsewhere in the film, a “senior citizen splashes around in her own urine for shocking scenes in this highly anticipated A24 project.
The official A24 YouTube account posted the trailer and one horror fan commented: “I’ve literally been waiting for this movie for [two] years. I can’t wait for Brandy’s return to horror. She’s one of my favourite celebrities.”

“I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THIS FILM. The dynamic between Brandy’s character and the little old lady is about to be INSANE,” typed another eager fan, who signed off with a laughing emoji and clapping hands. Someone else compared the film’s vibe to “Hereditary + Get Out”.
One excited fan wrote in all caps: “This looks so fun! Bring back the fun in movies and bring back old evil people! We missed them! They create awesome villains.” Someone else commented: “Bring on the drama, suspense, thrills, chills and the horror! Be careful whose energy you allow into you home, even if it’s your own relative! We can’t wait to see The Front Room!”
Others gushed over Brandy’s youthful looks with one person writing: “That’s Brandy? She literally looks still in her 20s, OMG,” with another comment branding her “as beautiful as ever”.
Chart-topping singer Brandy plays the lead character Belinda alongside Kathryn Hunter, Andrew Burnap, Morgen McKynzie, Scottie DiGiacomo and Neal Huff. IMDb describes the film: “A young couple’s life is thrown into disarray when they reluctantly agree to take in the man’s estranged mother. As tensions rise, the couple’s seemingly normal home becomes a battleground of paranoia and fear.”
Her behaviour “unveils dark secrets” and their relationship hangs in the balance while battling “the sinister presence that takes over their home”. According to the website, this A24 horror “delves into the themes of family, trust, and the thin line between reality and madness.”
